White Picket Fence, 2008

This sound artwork was exhibited in Grimsby, Ontario at a public
library and art gallery. I collected meteorological data from the area
over the past 80 years or so and made an audible bar graph.
Specifically, the bar graph represents rainfall levels throughout the
Niagara Region where I currently live. People are allowed to tap it
or use sticks to “play” the fence. Funnily enough, when several
people play the piece simultaneously, the work sounds a bit
like rainfall.
